Title: Clove Mouthwash
Categories: Dental *
Yield: 5 Ounces

1/4cVodka
1/2cDistilled water
1/4tsHoney
1/4tsCinnamon
1/2tsGround cloves or clove oil

The unopened flower buds of the Evergreen clove tree are well known as a temporary cure for toothaches because of their mildly anesthetic properties. This mouthwash is a good rinse to use if you have sensitive teeth or gums. Cloves have a sharp, distinctive flavor. In this recipe, you may use ground cloves or clove oil. This oil can be made at home by soaking a few whole cloves in a tablespoon of olive oil overnight.

Combine all the ingredients and stir well until all the honey is dissolved. Pour into a clean bottle. You may also want to filter the mouthwash if you have used ground cloves, to remove the clove pieces. To use, pour about 4 ts into a glass and rinse your mouth for 30 seconds.
